Influenza: Notes from G.P. McRostie, OMD, ND

This winter (2010/11), reading flu statistics and arguments pro and con the vaccine, I decided to do a web search on outcome studies for the flu jab. The Cochrane Collaboration did an extensive review over a 2 year period. The data from their collation of the research says there is a 1% to 2% reduction in flu incidence by those who have had the vaccine! For your consideration, there is also a statistic that the risk of Alzheimer's disease increases with each flu jab.

What to do in the early stages at home. Stop eating all sweets and flour products. Five teaspoons of sugar (2 biscuits, 1/3 of a fizzy drink) keep 50% of your macrophages (white blood cell scavengers) busy for 19 hours; effectively half of your front line immune response is out of commission. From my microbiology studies, I observed that I could incubate a 48 hour culture in 3 hours if sugar was added to the Petri dish. So sugar is a double whammy against you if you are fighting a bug. Make black tea, add 1tsp ground ginger, 1tsp cayenne pepper, ½ tsp ground clove and the juice of half a lemon. Eat at least 1 onion and 1 head of garlic per day. And bed rest. If you have chills, put ¼ cup ginger in a hot bath and wrap up warm to sweat it out. Four times a day take the following: vitamin C at 3 grams/dose, vitamin A emulsified (to avoid toxic accumulation) at 125,000 units, and a cup of the tea. If you are not at minimum, 60% better in 24 hrs, at Albion Biologic we can offer you an immune booster and an anti-viral herb potion.
